Miso Glazed Turnips
A perfect balance of savory and sweet, we love to miso-glaze EVERYTHING! Substitute with eggplant or any root vegetable.
Ingredients
1 lb turnips, diced
1 tsp miso paste
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp mirin
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp water
Optional:
1 finely sliced green onion
1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425F. Line baking tray with foil and grease with vegetable oil.
Place turnips into baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes or until slightly brown.
Mix together miso paste, vegetable oil, sesame oil, mirin, sugar, and water.
Remove turnipsĀ from oven and drizzle with miso mixture. Toss to coat evenly.
Return to oven and broil for 4 minutes, or until glaze turns brown and bubbly.
Top with green onions and sesame seeds.
