About Us

Our Mission

Our goal is to provide a Sacramento-based online farmer’s market that strengthens our communities by connecting people with their local growers. By supporting our small and medium sized farms, especially those that are managing their lands to promote biodiversity, our local actions can have global impacts. Our network lets you find out which farms are growing your food, how they grow it, and the special practices they use to promote healthy soils, wildlife, and clean waterways.

We strongly believe that farmers should be rewarded for sustainable land management practices. By supporting our family farms, especially those that are managing their lands to promote biodiversity, our local actions can have global impacts.

How It Works

We source from local farmers and small businesses, only selecting ingredients grown using sustainable practices. We guarantee that all of our products are local and sustainable.

Sourcing Criteria

100% of our products we offer must meet our criteria for local, healthy, and sustainable. We work with farmers to understand their growing practices and apply these to our requirements for local, healthy, transparent, and sustainable foods.

Michelle Duong - CEO, Founder

Michelle has a Master of Science in Conservation Biology. She has 10 years of experience in environmental conservation working in research, management, and policy. During this time, she consistently found herself coming back to conservation on farmland and finding ways to align the needs of farmers, environment, and the economy. Michelle has lived in Canada, Australia, and various places across the United States, until finally putting down roots in Sacramento. California farmers have greatly inspired her as striking examples of environmental stewardship. She is dedicated to finding ways to reward growers for their conservation efforts by developing a value-based supply chain. She is an avid bird watcher, outdoor enthusiast, and gardener, but leaves the farming to the pros.
